Every creature at The Orinoco Animal Sanctuary has found their forever home
The Sanctuary will be closed during the winter months for improvement works. We will be holding the annual live Nativity in December as planned.
It all began with Tina and James. Growing up in the countryside with dogs and ponies, Tina was always that child who spent her pocket money on three-legged horses in gift shops. James was a city boy who discovered a natural bond with animals.
First to join the menagerie were Barry and Barbara, a pair of rescued ducks, quickly followed by a flock of chickens and Tobias the turkey. Poppy the naughty donkey and toy horse Rocky added to the family soon after.
After a serious and life-changing accident, James found a special symbiotic relationship with the animals beneficial to both his physical and mental health.
